TOPIC 1: YEMEN CRISIS
The crisis in Yemen has been recognized as the largest humanitarian crisis in the history of the world. In fact, 80% of the population and over 30 million children are in desperate need of aid, and economic and environmental factors only contribute to the escalation of the conflict. Furthermore, due to frequent airstrikes and bombings, Yemen has become extremely dangerous to its civilians and hundreds of children are dying on a daily basis or are being otherwise seriously affected. Moreover, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, matters have only gotten worse. A vast amount of health facilities are not adequately operating, since a lot of these do not have masks and gloves, or other necessary tools to treat the virus, which is why the UN is striving to propose a way to aid Yemeni citizens to relieve the stress caused and attempt to create a safer country for its people.

TOPIC 2: ETHNIC CLEANSING OF THE ROHINGYA
The Rohingya are a Muslim minority group, with a current population of 1.1 million in Myanmar, otherwise known as Burma. They are being persecuted by the Myanmar government due to religious and ethnic reasons, seeing that the country has a majority Buddhist population. The Rohingya people have resided in Burma since the fifteenth century. The upheaval, however, traces back to the second World War, when the Rohingya sided with Britain against the Buddhists, which were allied with Japan. The Burmese government claims that the Rohingya are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, whilst the Bangladeshi government is also not fully open to these Muslim minorities for refuge. The crimes against humanity committed against these people are a concern to the United Nations and must be promptly addressed.
